Loranne is a perfectionist, both on and off the slopes. As an ambitious, Belgian athlete, she has earned her spot in the top 5 of world snowboarding and is the first Belgian woman to reach a world cup stage. But she is in for more: with the 2022 Peking Olympics in mind, she’ll take no less than where she is now and aims for a first World Cup victory next winter.
Loranne is only 22, but 6 of those years she has been performing at the highest level. Her favorite disciplines are Big Air and Slope Style. She torn her ACL, turning her 2017 season in a down. However, she came back stronger, with a career best result in Canada, 2018. The unfortunate injury showed her the importance of off-board training and recovery. This approach accelerated her career after her comeback. She now works harder than ever to become world’s best snowboard athlete she can be.

“A good balance on my snowboard starts with a good balance in my nutrition."Loranne Smans
"I enjoy a healthy sport diet, limiting meat and fish, indulging in fruit and plant-based ingredients. Innerme provides me the much-needed extra energy to keep performing at the highest level. A good balance on my snowboard starts with a good balance in my nutrition."
